Kathryn Bernardo admits 'awkwardness' with Nadine Lustre

MANILA, Philippines - Kathryn Bernardo has admitted that there's still "awkwardness" between her and Nadine Lustre.

“Siguro mayro'n kaming awkwardness ngayon dalawa kasi of course the social media, the Twitter, the Instagram, parang nauunahan ng lahat ng tao bago pa kami mag-meet, 'di ba?” Kathryn said in an interview in “The Buzz” on Sunday.

The two young actresses are being pitted against each other since Nadine's popularity blossomed through the film “Diary ng Panget.” Even their respective love teams, KathNiel for Kathryn-Daniel, and JaDine for James Reid-Nadine were being compared.

The two were able to see each other at the backstage of Sunday variety show “ASAP.” The two young actresses, however, failed to talk because of the ongoing show.

“Open ako sa idea, gusto ko mag-meet kami, makausap ko siya para maalis 'yong awkwardness,” Kathryn said.

Kathryn and Daniel are busy promoting their film “Crazy, Beautiful You” that opened in cinemas last February 25.
