Daniel sings FTLY theme song

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Fairy tales come true, but they do not always happen the way they typically do in storybooks. ABS-CBN presents the unique love story of Ron and Michelle, who will find love due to unexpected twists of fate in the newest afternoon romantic comedy Fated to Love You (FTLY).

Ron is expected to continue his family’s legacy by getting married as soon as possible. So he decides to propose to his girlfriend Sera in Macau. Even before he popped the question, destiny already intervened and circumstances led him to waking up in bed with Michelle.

The two freak out in awe of what happened to them. Just like Ron, Michelle has no idea how she got to the room and can barely remember the night they’ve intimately shared.

Ron initially suspects Michelle to be an accomplice in an attempt to set him up but later on realized that she was telling the truth. They develop a friendship in the short amount of time they were together. Ron even helped out Michelle in her heartache after the guy she likes dumped her.

Thinking it was the last time they would see each other, the two decide to leave behind the night they spent together and move on with their lives. But it seems destiny won’t let anything ruin its plan because Michelle finds out that she is pregnant with Ron’s baby and Ron has no choice but to marry her and become a father to his future heir.

The series’ theme song Simpleng Tulad Mo is sung by Daniel Padilla.

Fated to Love You airs weekdays at 4 p.m. after Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita.
