WATCH: Fellow beauty queen to MJ Lastimosa: We’re so proud of you!

MANILA, Philippines- Miss Intercontinental 2014 2nd runner-up Kris Tiffany Janson said Mary Jean Lastimosa did well at the 63 Miss Universe competition held on Monday (Philippine time), at Miami Florida, USA.

“We saw a while ago how she did in the swimsuit, at the opening, she was a standout talaga,” she said about MJ. “She is really a fighter and you can see it in her performance. Palaban, she’s very palaban and you can see that.”

MJ was in the top 10 of the beauty pageant, but failed to enter the top 5. Miss USA, Miss Colombia, Miss Jamaica, Miss Ukraine,and Miss Netherlands were in the top 5 of the competition.

Janson said she has saddened by MJ failing to be part of the top 5 finalists. Yet she understands that in every beauty pageant it would boil down to the judges' decision.

“I really don’t know how they judged it, what they’re basing on for the top 5. Pero it’s all in the hands of the judges talaga,” she said.

Despite the results of the competition, Tiffany and the other Bb. Pilipinas title-holders send their support and love to the Philippines’ representative.

“I’m so happy and so proud of MJ. I can’t wait to see her when she comes back. The Philippines is very proud of her,” Tifanny said.

MJ will be back in the country on January 28.
