Rayver Cruz on love: I'm taking it slow

MANILA, Philippines – Rayver Cruz, who has remained single since his breakup with Cristine Reyes in 2013, said he's not in a hurry to find a new love.

 

“Hinihintay ko yung right time. Yung sa amin naman ni Cristine, hindi ko naman hinanap yun. Dumating naman siya,” he said in an interview with entertainment reporters during the press conference for his upcoming horror-suspense movie “Dilim.”

 

“Ngayon kasi nag-enjoy ako masyado na kaya ko na, with my friends. Nag-focus din ako sa trabaho,” he added.

 

The ABS-CBN actor believes love would come at the right moment even if he does not look for it.

 

“Darating naman yun, e. Mahirap naam pigilan yun kapag dumating yun,” Rayver explained. “Lahat naman tayo mafe-feel natin yun.”

 

Rayver has been in a couple of high profile showbiz relationships, particularly with Cristine and Sarah Geronimo. 

 

 

“Parang hindi na okay kung babalikan pa. Hindi ko na lang siguro sasagutin yung mga questions na may ugnay sa kanila,” Rayver said, after being asked by reporters if there's any truth to rumors that he tried to pursue Sarah again after his breakup with Cristine.

 

Rayver said he's happy for Sarah and Matteo Guidicelli, who recently admitted their relationship. 

 

Matteo is a good friend, the 25-year-old actor said; the two even co-starred in the 2013 movie “Saturday Night Chills” amid then speculations about the Matteo-Sarah relationship.

 

“Kahit sinong babae naman suwerte kay Matteo kasi sobrang bait nun. Kaibigan ko si Matteo, matagal. Parehas kaming trainer sa gym and parehas kaming taga-south,” he said.

 

Rayver added, “Swerte sila sa bawat isa.”

 

The actor also commented on recent rumors that his ex-girlfriend Cristine is pregnant.

 

He said, “Pero totoo man o hindi, kung ano man yung mga desisyon na ginagawa ni AA, I'm sure masaya naman siya.”

 

“Masaya siya sa buhay niya ngayon. Masaya siya sa love life, masaya siya sa career niya. So maging happy na lang tayo.”

 

“Dilim,” which also stars Kylie Padilla and Rafael Rosell, opens in theaters on October 22.
