IN PHOTOS: Megan Young, head turners at Star Magic Ball 2014

MANILA, Philippines - Miss World 2013 Megan Young was every bit of a queen at the 8th Star Magic Ball on Saturday, September 6.

 

The stunning 24-year-old model-actress, wearing a white Leo Almodal gown, was a picture of elegance as she walked the Star Magic Ball red carpet this year, making her an instant trending topic on Twitter last night.

 

 

Although she walked on the red carpet without her date Joseph Marco, “Pure Love” star Alex Gonzaga was also a stunner in her Pepsi Herrera dress. This is Alex's second Star Magic Ball after moving to the Kapamilya network from GMA7 last year.

 

Attending the event alone were Jessy Mendiola (who showed off her new short haircut), Erich Gonzales in a revealing glittery dress, and Jodi Sta. Maria who let go of the traditional ball gown for a white pantsuit ensemble. Jodi previously said she won't take boyfriend Jolo Revilla to the event.

 

 

 

 

Shaina Magdayao also arrived solo despite being linked again to actor Sam Milby, who likewise did not bring a date to the ball. 

 

 

Julia Barretto was one of the standout young stars of the night. The 17-year-old actress exuded lady-like confidence on the red carpet in her Rajo Laurel gown. 

 

“Sana Bukas Na Lang Ang Kahapon” star Maricar Reyes was also as beautiful as ever with her date, husband Richard Poon. While co-star Bea Alonzo's goth-inspired look for the ball was arguably based on her character in the ABS-CBN soap opera, Maricar's look was simple and classic.

 

 

Other female stars who attended the Star Magic Ball this year were Julia Montes, Empress Schuck, Nikki Valdez, Bangs Garcia, Dimples Romana, and Janella Salvador.
