Who will be SM’s Little Star 2014?

MANILA, Philippines - Sixteen cute, talented and adorable kids compete in the grand finals of the SM Little Star pageant at the center stage of the SM Mall of Asia today at 3 p.m.

Great prizes await the grand prizewinner: P200,000 worth of cash and shopping money; a five-day and four-night trip to China for two including airfare, hotel accommodations and tours; and a four-year college scholarship grant from National University. SM’s Little Star will also receive P10,000 worth of gift certificates (GC) from Toy Kingdom, a music academy scholarship from Trumpets Playshop, as well as a 10-hour Basic Personality Development session and 10-hour Future Leaders Program session, both worth P20,000.

The first runner-up will receive P100,000 worth of cash and shopping money, and a Podium Playshop Summer Scholarship from Trumpets; while the second and third runners-up will get P70,000 and P50,000, respectively. Runners up will each get a five-day and four-night trip to China for two; Toy Kingdom GCs; a two-hour Basic Personality Development session; and a 10-hour Future Leaders Program session.

The grand finals is the culmination of a month-long search wherein 5,000 kids aged four to seven registered to join the contest. Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria: Talent, 40 percent; personality, 30 percent; and star quality, 30 percent.

Here’s a quick look at the finalists: In the Metro Manila area, SM Manila’s Kaycee Nicole dela Cruz loves to sing, dance and act, while SM City Marikina’s Jeantelle Louise Esteban is fond of cooking and singing. SM Novaliches’ Sean Hayden Bermudez and SM Southmall’s Marcus Hayden Trirogoff both love dancing and want to become doctors when they grow up.

In Northern Luzon, Marcus Cabais and Chun Sa Angella Jung of SM City Clark enjoy singing and dancing; while Eric Lance Johann Santiago and Jarumy Kendra Chavez of SM Marilao love playing musical instruments.

Going south, Paul Benedict Vizcarra of SM City Bacoor and Sheena Kirtsten Bentoy of SM City Dasmariñas wish to become doctors, while SM City Batangas’ Madyson Elizabeth Lamont and SM City Lipa’s Jomer Wilson Lee look forward to making their families proud.

For the VisMin region, the bets are SM City Cebu’s Hannah Faith Mag-aso who will impress with her hula-hoop performance; SM City Iloilo’s Jun Carlos Gumacal with his singing and dancing; SM City Davao’s Sophia Stephanie Gayle Fenecios and Patrick Jan Jakob with their singing, dancing, drawing and acting.

The rest of the finalists will each get P8,000, Toy Kingdom GCs worth P2,000 and a John Robert Powers Basic Personality Development GC worth P5,000 .

SM Little Stars 2014 is one of the exciting events of the SM Supermalls.
