More mysteries unfold in ‘Under the Dome’ season 2

MANILA, Philippines- After months of waiting, the second season of “Under the Dome” is finally coming out this September.

This TV series adaptation of the Stephen King book made its debut last year and was recognized as one of the “most-watched summer series out of all US networks since 2005,” said RTL CBS Entertainment CEO Jonas Engwall, Wednesday, July 30. 

Now on its second season, there will be more suspense and mystery to unfold after the town of Chester’s Mill was enclosed in a mysterious dome.

Dale “Barbie” Barbara (Mike Vogel) and Julia Shunway (Rachelle Lefevre) are still on a search to find out how the dome materialized and what could destroy it, without Big Jim (Dean Norris) stopping their efforts.

Adding to the mystery are the sudden appearance of Sam, who is the brother of Big Jim’s wife; a mysterious young girl who could be the key in all of these mysteries; and a person who all the viewers believed is  dead, but is actually alive.

“Under the Dome” Season 2 will premier on September 3, but those who are interested to join the millions of viewers of the show to get a summary of season one may do so by watching "Inside Chester’s Mill” which will air on August 28, Wednesday at 9:55 p.m.

Aside from this show, RTL CBS has  also announced their other upcoming shows.

One is the Season 11 of “X Factor UK” which  will premier on August 31, the second season of “House of Cards,” and the third season of “Elementary.”

They will also have new TV series, including "Scorpion” which is “a story about a group of geniuses hired by the US Government to solve cyber crimes,” said RTL CBS Country Manager Rene Esguerra.

Another is “Extant” which stars Halle Berry and is another Stephen Spielberg production.

According to Rene, the show is about “a female astronaut who tries to reconnect to her family after being gone for one year in outer space. Her experiences will ultimately change the course of human history.”
