How Carla & Ryan ‘complete’ each other

Towards the end of the landmark GMA “bromance” drama My Husband’s Lover, Ryan Agoncillo briefly did a cameo role as the date of Carla Abellana who played the wife suffering from the infidelity of her husband (Tom Rodriguez’s) affair with another man (Dennis Trillo).

Of course, the romance didn’t progress. But in Ismol Family,  GMA’s weekend sitcom (airing every Sunday at 6:55 p.m. after Vampire Ang Daddy Ko), Ryan and Carla end up a couple, he as Jingo, a responsible and loving husband to his pretty and strong-willed wife Majay (Carla), an OFW and communicates with her family through the Internet.

Director Dominic Zapata is very happy to be working again with Ryan and Carla after My Husband’s Lover.

“I’m glad na nakatrabaho ko na sila Ryan and Carla. We are very familiar with each other. They are seasoned actors. They could go the full spectrum from doing really heavy drama to doing something very light or even comedy. Ibang-iba si Carla dito. You’ll see the bubblier side of Carla. And I think it helps na si Ryan understands the dynamics of husband and wife. Hindi na foreign ang idea of husband and wife sa kanya.”

Carla and Ryan “complete” each other in other ways as they show in Funfare’s “Complete the Sentence” game.

CARLA 

• I hate people…who are rude.

• I avoid people…who are so negative in life that they always complain and see the bad in situations instead of the good.

• My worst moment in life is…when I found out I didn’t make the cut in the graduating honor roll in high school. It was humiliating because I was with the honors group and it was the principal who told me I didn’t make it. I had to exit the room.

• My greatest pleasure in life is...lying in bed with my wife and kids on a lazy afternoon.

• My worst moment in life is...having to hold it in while going out for a run and home is about a couple of kilometers away. You get the picture.

• My biggest fear is…it will happen again.

• I pray for…it not to happen again.

• The most important person in my life is...my wife could be reading this, kailangan pa ba i-memorize ‘yan?
