MANILA, Philippines – Xian Lim is not worried if Kim Chiu eventually does another project with her former onscreen partner and ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson.
Kim recently did a television commercial for an instant coffee brand with Gerald, which prompted fans to speculate if a reunion movie or TV show is not far from the horizon.
The former couple last worked together in the 2012 movie “24/7... In Love.”
Xian is not bothered by the possibility of Kim working again with Gerald. “Wala namang ikaka-worry talaga,” he told members of the press during the “Most Beautiful Stories” campaign launch of beauty brand Pond's recently.
“Magkaiba kami ng journey, magkaiba kami ng path,” Xian added.
Xian is at the Pond's campaign launch as the endorser of Pond's Men.
As for the constant fan speculation on the status of his relationship with Kim, Xian said: “We're always gonna remain friends. We're always gonna remain special to each other. Kumbaga, we're not rushing things.”
“We're special to each other but we're gonna take things slow. Slowly but surely.”
Xian is currently doing a movie with Kim, along with Ai-Ai delas Alas. Tentatively titled “Past Tense,” the movie is set to premiere later this year.
“Sabi nga niya (Ai-Ai) sa press con niya, first ever sa Philippines na nagkaroon ng ganitong storya. I can support that statement from her,” he said
“Excited na ako dahil it's really different,” Xian added.
