Ellen Adarna wants kids, but doesn't want to get married

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Ellen Adarna said she does not give her non-showbiz boyfriend for over a year any reason to feel threatened or insecure despite of her sexy, provocative image.

 

“I never give him reason to doubt me. I always make him feel secure,” the 26-year-old actress told members of the press at the set of her ABS-CBN afternoon soap opera “Moon of Desire” recently.

However, while their relationship is going strong, Ellen said she does not see herself getting married soon.

 

“When we're both stable I guess but not now,” Ellen said when asked if she and her boyfriend already have plans of taking their relationship to the next level.

 

She added: “We’re still together anyway. If tayo forever, what’s the fuss? It’s just a (piece of) paper.”

 

The ABS-CBN talent would actually prefer to have children before getting married. “I want to have kids when I'm 30, 31. But the thing with me is, I don't want to get married. I just want to have kids.”

 

The idea of having children before marriage came from her father, a businessman based in Cebu. “I spoke to my dad about it before. Actually, he was the one who told me don't get married, just have kids.” 

 

Ellen added,: “He was the one who gave me that idea. And I was younger, I was like, 'No, I want to have a fairy tale wedding. I want to get married like this, like that, I want to look pretty.' And then now that I'm almost married, I don't want to get married. I just want to have kids.

 

The topic of marriage and having kids came about when members of the press asked Ellen if she plans to stay in show business for the long haul amid her recent boost in popularity as an ABS-CBN star.

 

 

The former GMA-7 talent admitting she considering leaving showbiz prior to her move to ABS-CBN. Aside from “Moon of Desire,” which was extended after finishing a whole season run, she recently appeared in the comedy movie “My Illegal Wife” with Zanjoe Marudo and Pokwang.

This is why she's grateful for the breaks she got in the Kapamilya network. 

 

She also ranked 8th in FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest Women in the World this year. Unfortunately, Ellen wasn't able to walk the runway.

 

“Wala lang, it's just a job. It's just a photo shoot. I get there, I do my job, emote, emote, and then it's done. Maybe it's because I'm just comfortable with myself,” Ellen said.
