Angeline Quinto: Erik Santos is 'next level friend'

MANILA, Philippines – They're already exchanging I love you's to each other, but Angeline Quinto said she's still waiting for Erik Santos' confirmation before she can say they've taken their relationship to the next level.

 

“I consider him as my next level friend,” Angeline said of Erik in an interview with ABS-CBN's showbiz talk show “The Buzz” on Sunday, July 6.

 

She added: “Kumbaga, kung ano man po ang mangyari after nito, yung nangyayari sa amin ngayon, okay naman ako. Alam naman n'ya po 'yon.”

 

In a previous interview, Erik said he courted Angeline but stopped after the female singer is said to be seeing another guy.

 

However, Angeline said she is no longer entertaining anyone romantically because of Erik.

 

The 24-year-old singer also admitted she wants to be officially together with the 30-year-old crooner.

 

“Nag-I love you siya. Syempre, nag-I love you too ako,” Angeline said. “Hindi ko po masabi ngayon (kung officially together) kasi gusto ko rin na si Erik din yung magsabi sa mga tao.”

 

“Minsan po kami nagkakahiyain pa kami sa isa't isa pero yun naman ang madalas namin mapagusapan,” she said when asked if she and Erik are talking about putting a label on their relationship now.

 

Reports that Erik and Angeline are dating first came out last February. However, last June, Erik said he stopped pursuing Angeline.

 

"Magulo kasi minsan gusto, minsan ayaw niya, minsan hindi... Medyo (napagod), kasi parang walang patutunguhan," Erik said of Angeline. 

 

But in a interview with an entertainment news site last week, Angeline admitted she is rekindling her romance with the male singer.

 

Angeline headlines a series of live shows every Thursday from July 3 to August 21 at 19 East Bar and Grill in Sucat, Muntinlupa City to promote her latest album, the soundtrack of the ABS-CBN soap opera “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon.” She sings all the nine tracks in the said album.
