Jessy Mendiola meets father after 14 years; names new suitor

MANILA, Philippines- Jessy Mendiola is happy to see her father again after being separated for 14 years after he left for Bahrain.

Jessy was very emotional when she met her father again last Sunday. She was seven years old when her father left. In her Instagram account, she posted a photo of them together and captioned it “one perfect Sunday.”

“After 14 years... I couldn't help but cry when I saw him again. No words can explain how much I missed my Papa. When he saw me he just hugged me so tight, I couldn't breathe. First words that came out of his mouth was "My Princess" and that was it, I lost it. I forgot where I was and cried like a child, thanking God he gave me another chance to see him again. June 29, 2014. One perfect Sunday.”

In her interview with MJ Felipe aired over ABS-CBN's “Bandila” on Wednesday, the Kapamilya actress recounted the day she met her father again.

She said her mind was filled of questions like “Bakit gano'n? Gaano siya katagal dumating? Bakit ngayon lang siya nagpakita?”

But those questions were forgotten “no'ng hinug [hug] niya ako... sinabi ko na lang, okay lang kahit wala nang sagot sa mga tanong ko. Basta nandito siya."

“Speechless na ako [nang tawagin niya akong My Princess]. Hindi ko na nasabi lahat ng gusto kong sabihin sa kanya. Tapos niyakap niya lang ako nang sobra sobrang higpit na lagi niyang ginagawa 'yon nang bata pa ako. Na-refresh ako ulit na ganito pala ang feeling ng may tatay.”

Since her father's stay in the country is short, Jessy took the opportunity to introduce to him her new suitor, Sebastian Gasca, whom she met in Boracay.

“Pinakita ko 'yong picture niya kay dad sabi niya, 'Who is he?' Sabi ko, 'He's a friend. I met him recently,' sabi kong gano'n. Tapos sabi niya, 'Okay, I want to meet him,'” she relates.

Jessy even blushed a bit when she said, “napapasaya naman niya ako kahit malayo siya,” referring to Gasca.

Meanwhile, Gasca seem to be missing Jessy as well as he posted in his Instagram account a photo collage of their trip together in Jeju Island, in Korea.

In the caption he said, "Lay me down..." I miss you gwapa, see you soon!”
