Kim, TomDen, Ryzza big winners in The PEP List

MANILA, Philippines - The PEP List  with three components and 44 categories  is ready to be revealed.

After formally announcing the Pepsters’ Choice winners last March 27, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) is all set to recognize all 52 standouts who became the most popular, most read, most talked-about, most shared and most compelling in 2013.

There’s Kim Chiu — who, generating a total of 1,732,038 in the PEPsters’ Choice poll — is one of the most influential stars on the Internet. The Star Magic talent was hailed by fans and readers as TV Star of the Year and Newsmaker of the Year.

Likewise, the TomDen fever was phenomenal. Aside from Tom Rodriguez winning the Loveteam of the Year with Dennis Trillo, Tom was also chosen as the Breakout Star of the Year.

Ryzza Mae Dizon was also unstoppable. She won a landslide victory as the Female Child Star of the Year, with Renz Valerio emerging as the top winner in the male category.

Other winners are Daniel Padilla (OPM Artist of the Year), Joey de Leon (Showbiz Treasure of the Year, Male), Nora Aunor (Showbiz Treasure of the Year, Female), Lovi Poe (FAB Female), Xian Lim (FAB Male), Elmo Magalona (Teen Star of the Year, Male), Julie Anne San Jose (Teen Star of the Year, Female), James Yap (Newsmaker of the Year, Male) and Vic Sotto (TV Star of the Year, Male).

Plus, Ina Kapatid Anak won as the Primetime Teleserye of the Year.

Today at the grand ballroom of the Solaire Resort and Casino, the complete list of winners will be out.

There’s the Punongbayan and Araullo-edited list of winners, where the stars were judged according to number of page views, unique visits, comments and shares on social media.

There’s the PEP Editors’ Choice, the result of year-long deliberations.

“It was not easy. It required a lot of time. But our goal is simply to have a reliable showbiz meter. The stars whose names are part of The PEP List are definitely the ones that made their mark last year,” says PEP editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon.
