PBB: Are there superstars in waiting?

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda - The Philippine Star

Big Brother’s house opened its doors once again as it welcomed a new batch of housemates. The Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) All In is hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez, John Prats and Robi Domingo.

The 18 housemates are Axel Torres (Jock-Next-Door ng Taguig), Jane Oineza (Rising Celebriteen ng Quezon City), Cess Visitacion (Biba Raketera ng Valenzuela), Kevin Cecilio (Simpatikong Salesman ng Cam Sur), Nichole Baranda (Sweet Revelation ng Makati), Aina Solano (Dancing Bombshell ng Boracay), Joshua Garcia (Tatay’s Boy ng Batangas), Jayme Jalandoni (Devoted Daughter ng Las Piñas), Manolo Pedrosa (Wonder Son ng Quezon City), Maris Racal (Singing Sunshine ng Davao), Ranty Fortento (Maginoong Marino ng Quezon), Michelle Gumabao (Spunky Spiker ng Quezon City), Jacob Benedicto (Cutie Crooner ng Parañaque), Loisa Andalio (Talented Darling ng Pasay), twins Fourth and Fifth Solomon (Brad Kulit ng Pasay and Brad Bait ng Pasay), Vickie Rushton (Lady Mahinhin ng Bacolod), and Alex Gonzaga (Sassy Sister ng Rizal).

Toni shared her thoughts about Alex joining the PBB in an interview with Push.com.ph, “Parang mami-miss ko siya sa bahay kasi wala na akong makakausap sa gabi. Kasi ang room namin connected so pagka-uwian derecho siya sa room ko tapos kinukwento niya ‘yung nangyari the whole day. So ’yun wala na akong kausap.” She also hopes her sister will learn valuable lessons while inside the PBB house.

Every edition of PBB is highly anticipated because of housemates who have wildly diverse stories and personalities. How will they interact with each other during their stay inside the Bahay ni Kuya? Will there be new love teams? Are there superstars in waiting? Who’s going to be the grand winner? We wait in bated breath.

Aside from being prohibited to have communication with the outside world, the housemates will also undergo various challenges to test their abilities. There are surveillance cameras positioned all over the house to watch their every movement.

PBB has opened doors of opportunities in showbiz to former housemates like Sam Milby, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Robi Domingo, Matt Evans, Jason Gainza, Melai Cantiveros, Jason Francisco, Ejay Falcon, Ryan Bang, Tom Rodriguez, Slater Young, Paul Jake Castillo, Sam Pinto, among others.

Xian: 2 more movies with Kim

Kim Chiu recently suffered a nose injury after a minor car accident. She was sleeping inside her van when she was thrown upfront and hit her nose on the front seat when her driver made an abrupt stop to avoid another vehicle. She was alarmed because her nose was bleeding and she heard a cracking sound. She was immediately rushed to a hospital to have an X-ray examination.

One of the persons Kim called up about the accident was Xian Lim who is being romantically linked to her. “Noong nangyari po iyon, naka-receive ako ng tawag kaagad sa kanya. Sobrang worried siya. Sabi ko ‘Anong nangyari?’ Hindi siya makapagsalita,” he said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Meanwhile, Xian revealed that he would be reunited with Kim in two upcoming movies. These are the love team’s follow-up projects after their blockbuster movie Bride for Rent.
