Bianca Gonzalez: 'You always pray to end up with a good man'

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines – Bianca Gonzalez said she and fiancee JC Intal are planning to get married this December.

The cager proposed to the ABS-CBN talent at a local airport last March. The two have been in a relationship since 2011.

In an interview with ABS-CBN's late night talk show “Aquino and Abunda Tonight” recently, the 31-year-old TV host said they were originally planning a November wedding but moved it to December “only because lahat ng tao sinasabi nakakastress daw mag-plan, so ang ikli daw nun kung November.”

Bianca described JC's proposal—which many netizens likened to the proposal of John Lloyd Cruz's character to Sarah Geronimo's in the 2013 movie “It Takes a Man and a Woman”—as “unreal, parang pelikula.”

She further said they're planning to go to either South Africa or South America for their honeymoon. “Kasi yun yung malayo, mahirap puntahan, mahal. So might as well gawin na namin,” Bianca explained.

“Kailangan pag-ipunan. Ang mahal, e,” she quipped.

Bianca revealed JC informed her family about the proposal beforehand, a gesture that Bianca appreciated.

“When I was at the airport, binigyan niya ako ng flowers, wala pa akong idea nung proposal. I sent a picture of the flowers sa family chat group ko. 'Nakakuha ako ng flowers sa airport. Ang weird.' Yung sister ko nag-reply na, 'Wow, sobrang VIP ka naman diyan,” she narrated.

“And then after, saka nag-react mother ko na, 'I've known all this time. I'm so happy for you.' Sobrang saya ko.”

Asked by “Aquino and Abunda Tonight” host Boy Abunda if the proposal is an “answered prayer,” Bianca said: “Yeah naman. You always pray for, parang, to end up with a good man.”

She added, “Syempre, (before this) ang daming heartache. Yun nga yung what makes this worth it, e. Parang, maaalala mo yung times na heartbroken ka, ang sakit-sakit.”

Bianca, who will be one of the hosts of the upcoming new season of “Pinoy Big Brother,” said she will continue working even after getting married.

“I want to work. I super want to work,” Bianca said.
