Luis wants to 'make more money' before settling down with Angel

MANILA, Philippines – While Luis Manzano feels he's ready to be engaged, the Kapamilya artist admits there are still things he wants to accomplish before settling down with girlfriend Angel Locsin.

 

“Engagement, maybe yes. Marriage, I still want to do some things. I still want to make more money, to be perfectly honest,” Luis told members of the press during a media gathering for toothpaste Sensodyne on Thursday, March 27.

 

According to the actor-TV host, he still has to work for the life he wants to give his “soon-to-be” family. “I have this notion of a life I want to give my family,” he said.

Luis explained, “For example, I have this idea of a good life that I want to give my soon-to-be family. 

 

With my current income, sige, I can give a good life siguro in two, three years. But once you have children, it's a different topic.”

 

“With the way the things, I still want to work for that life. I still have to work for that life,” he added.

 

Luis and Angel were dropping hints in previous TV interviews following their reconciliation earlier this year that marriage may not be far in their future.

 

But the 32-year-old Luis said he does not want to drop “teasers” about the proposal, if and when it happens.

“If there's one person who is going to find out first, it's gonna be my soon-to-be fiancee. Because right now, it's hard to give teasers, I don't want to put the guards up,” Luis said. “Para sa akin, when she's vulnerable, that's when I'll pop the big question.”

 

Luis talked to members of the press during the campaign launch of Sensodyne's “Say No to Ngilo!” as an endorser of the toothpaste. Sensodyne, a toothpaste recommended for those with sensitive teeth, is now available in sachet packets at P10 per pack.

 

What are the other things that Luis are sensitive to? “Love,” he said. “I'm a hopeless romantic. My eyes are always open for anything that's about love, whether for me or for others.”
