Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Marjorie Barretto took to social media after Claudine Barretto again disowned her family on Monday

Asked by the entertainment press about the involvement of some of her siblings in her legal battle against estranged husband Raymart Santiago, Claudine said: “Like I said, hindi ko sila pamilya. And sana palitan na rin nila ang apelyido nila.”

Raymart included the sworn statements of JJ, Gretchen, and Marjorie Barretto in his counter-affidavit in response to Claudine’s Violence Against Women and Child case against him.

A few hours after Claudine’s press conference, Marjorie posted a photo of a Notes messages on her Instagram account.

It said: “Little girl… Who gave you the right to DICTATE to us… To ME “PALITAN NA RIN NILA ANG APELYIDO NILA” I am a BARRETTO! I am legally allowed to USE Barretto. You are the one that is a Santiago now. I was a Barretto even before you were born. You ARE NOT the head of this family. I don’t take orders from you little girl. I will not take orders from you.”

‘You cannot fool God’

Marjorie added on the caption: “Hurtful! You are the youngest in this family but you treat us all so disrespectfully. From the eldest to the youngest you have never respected us. Enough is enough. I have kept my peace all these time.”

“But this is too much. You have hurt me enough to last a lifetime. You can fool the world and make them believe that we are bad sisters. But you little girl... You cannot fool God. In time... We will be vindicated,” she added.

On another Instagram post, Marjorie said: “I am removing all power you have on me to hurt me… I’m tired of your blackmails. You have caused me many many sleepless nights and I have cried too many tears for you. You little girl… You can not hurt or harm me again. Never again. This is the last time I will cry over you.”

“God is watching,” Marjorie captioned the said photo.

New case

Claudine held a press conference yesterday to deny allegations that she is a drug addict.

“Pagod na pagod na ako,” Claudine said. She added, “Habang salita siya nang salita ng masasakit tungkol sa akin… sana nare-realize niya na sinisira niya yung pinakapundasyon na kumakarga sa mga anak niya.”

According to the entertainment news site Philippine Entertainment Portal, Claudine filed an anti-wiretapping law case against Raymart.

During the press conference yesterday, Claudine’s lawyer Junelet Mataro explained why they decided to file the said case.

“In the first place, ayaw po sana naming mag-file ng kung ano-anong kaso. We actually want to concentrate on the violation against women and children because that is the abuse that she has been expressing for a number of years,” she said.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Raymart Santigao, on his counter-affidavit, attached a video of his own recording of a private conversation between him and my client Claudine. I don’t know if he doesn’t know, but that is a clear violation of Claudine’s right to privacy,” Mataro explained.
