Pinay makes waves in US fashion scene

MANILA, Philippines - Former Manila top model and beauty queen Joyce Penas Pilarsky (below), 58, proves that, as she said, “you are never too old to start something new” by successfully presenting her new collection at the Brooklyn Fashion Weekend at Industry City in New York recently.

A 2000 Mrs. Philippines-Germany and the reigning Mrs. Universe-Germany, Joyce also dabbles in painting, sculpture, photography, writing, singing and jewelry-designing.
