AFP umalerto na rin sa UNDAS

MANILA, Philippines - Umalerto na rin ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) kaugnay ng paggunita sa nalalapit na UNDAS sa buong bansa.

Ayon kay AFP Public Affairs Office Chief Col. Edgard Arevalo, inatasan na ni AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Ricardo Visaya ang lahat ng mga military units para paigtingin pa ang intelligence monitoring at security preparations bilang suporta sa PNP sa paggunita sa Todos Los Santos.

Ang direktiba ay inisyu ni Gen. Visaya sa mga Unified Commanders, Joint Task Force (JTF-NCR) , Major Service Commanders.

“He instructed the military units to actively coordinate with their PNP counterparts through the Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Council (JPSCC) in preparation for and in thwarting all possible threats that may arise during the holidays”, pahayag ni Arevalo.

Sinabi ng opisyal na ang Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force at Philippine Navy ay nakaalerto at handang magdeploy ng augmentation troops upang sumuporta sa pagbibigay seguridad sa UNDAS.

“ The AFP and PNP will maximize their presence through checkpoints in critical areas. These will be complemented by the deployment of K9 and Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams at possible entry and exit points in urban centers”, giit ng heneral.

 “The AFP is one with our people in the peaceful and meaningful commemoration and visitation of our departed loved ones. We assure our people that your soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen are on their toes”, dagdag pa nito.

Nabatid na may sapat na bilang ng mga sundalo ang tutulong sa PNP sa pagbibigay seguridad sa mga tao na magtutungo sa sementeryo upang dumalaw  sa puntod ng kanilang mga namayapang mahal sa buhay.

Kaugnay nito, sinabi naman ni Philippine Army Spokesman Col. Benjamin Hao  na ikinasa na ng kanilang hukbo ang Task Force Oplan Pagmamahal para sa seguridad sa loob at labas ng Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Sinabi ni Hao na ang “Oplan Pagmamahal” ay binubuo ng mga  composite team mula sa Army, Navy, at Air Force; Civil Disturbance Management Company; apat na K-9 teams at  dalawang Explosive Ordnance Division (EOD) teams.

Kasama sa inilatag na security plan ng Army ang binuong law enforcement and traffic task group na kakatawanin ng mga Military Police mula sa tatlong AFP major services, PNP Taguig, MMDA at Taguig Traffic Management Office.

Nabatid na ang nasabing mga contingent ay idedeploy sa paligid ng LNMB’s sa kahabaan ng Bayani Road sa lungsod ng Taguig.
