- EBV -

CEBU, Philippines - Team No Care Racing (NCR) was not the favorite in last weekend’s autocross race in Bacolod City but it shocked the Bacoleño and Cebuano racers as well by compiling 10 podium finish led by Dennis “The Menace” Corro with championship titles.

Corro, who drove Team NCR’s EK3 Honda Civic to its fastest time of one minute and 11 seconds, lorded it over in the automatic class, novice street heavy and novice super street heavy categories.

Bobby Pangilinan placed second in the novice street heavy and third both in the novice super street heavy and novice modivied heavy, while Eric Canama landed second in the automatic and novice modified heavy class.

NCR’s top tuning scientist Norris See also got the surprise of his teammates by finishing third in the novice modified heavy category.

What made Team NCR’s successful campaign more special was that it used only one car - a Honda EK3 1500cc stock engine - to amass nine trophies expect for Jong King who was drifting his Subaru to the delight of a very appreciative Bacoleño fans. King earlier wound up third in the all-wheel drive class.

Corro scored a sweet redemption of sort after failing to make a podium finish during the third leg of Philippine Autocross Championship Series at the South Road Properties two weekends ago.

Although David Lim of DGL Motorsports recorded the fastest time of the day followed by his teammate Mato Tan and Derek Arculli of Team Kartzone, Team NCR won the hearts of the Negrense car racing fanatics.

Team NCR’s Bacolod joust was made possible through the support of Bobhen Heavy Equipment Rental, Maxxis Tires, Mobil 1, Durabend, Dewfoam, DAJ Auto Repair shop, Total Oil, Aldo Service Center, Sunsport and Onitsuka. (THE FREEMAN)
