Uptown Jaycees now 3-0 in JCI basketball tourney
CEBU, Philippines - The Uptown Jaycees Foundation led by playing coach Dr. Boy Te rebuffed the Arcason and Son Construction and Development Corp. of Reeve Jumawan for its third straight victory in as many games in the 14th Junior Chamber International (JCI) Metro Cebu Uptown Jaycees basketball tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
The Uptown Jaycees trailed by six points going into the final period, 60-66, but closed the game with a 31-18 bang to turn the tables in Arcason at the final buzzer.
Bull-strong forward Dindo Sausa scored 28 points, Jimbo Noel added 16, while Franco Te and Joseph Jayme each added 13 markers as Uptown Jaycees Foundation enjoyed the solo lead with an immaculate 3-0 slate.
In the other games, the Rich Media Digital Ads led by Richard Mercado stunned the Mandaue-Team B of Joey Cal, 85-81, while the Mandaue-Team A drubbed Zone 360, 89-75, or its first win in two starts.
