Dance fitness challenge at Terraces tonight

CEBU, Philippines — The first dance fitness challenge organized by the Cebu City government will take place today at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

“We have prepared this to be a spectacle and it’s really going to be a party,” said Cebu City councilor Jerry Guardo. “All systems go for the event and we made sure that this will be a fun family affair for everyone.”

Dubbed as the “1st Shape Your Body Dance Fitness Challenge”, the charity event for the benefit of Cebu City Women and Family Affairs Commission drew 10 teams composed of women aged 25 years old and above who are all fitness and dance enthusiasts alike.

Aside from trophies, the champion will also receive P50,000, while the second and third placers will pocket the P30,000 and P20,000, respectively.

There will be Zumba party before the competition starts at 6 pm.

“We want to make the launching a success and we hope to make this competition a yearly event,” said Guardo. (FREEMAN)
