SHS-Ateneo girls start strong

CEBU, Philippines — The Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu girls opened their title retention bid in the under-18 division with a dominating 17-0 victory over Team Pomeroy in the 19th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Don Bosco Technology College field in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

Giuseppe FC, for its part, also made a strong statement with a 23-0 annihilation of Bright Academy in the girls 18.

Over at Paref-Springdale, SHS-AdC’s under-11 team enjoyed an easy win over Tabor Hills, while Giuseppe outgunned Warshockz, 4-1.
