Eagles golfest set for December 8

CEBU, Philippines — Everything is already in place for this year's edition of the annual Eagles Golf Tournament set for December 8 at the Cebu Country Club.

The event, which is among the highlights of the Silver jubilee of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Batch '92, was formally launched the other day at Casino Español de Cebu.

Present during the affair were Sacred Heart School-Ateneo Alumni Association, Inc. President Franco Soberano of the Cebu Landmasters, Batch '92 President Erickson Ong, tournament chairman Mark Garcia, Louise Ortiz of Harley-Davidson Cebu and Kenneth Huan of Mercedes Benz Cebu.

Brand new Mercedes Benz and Hyundai cars and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle are at stake for a hole-in-one on designated holes.

Ong said proceeds of their fund-raising activity will go to their charitable programs that include scholarship for poor but deserving students, medical mission and feeding project known as the "Blue Plate".

The one-day tilt features the two-man team event, Sacred Heart alumni and open division.

"This tounament is open to all.You don't have to be a Sacred Heart alumni to be able to join," said Garcia.

Registration fee is pegged at P2,500 or P5,000 per team of two inclusive of green fee, dinner, ticket to the raffle draw, and exciting giveaways.— EBV
