Sugbu Mighty Dragons dominate Dumaguete dragonboat

CEBU, Philippines — The Sugbu Mighty Dragons showed their might in the Buglasan Dragonboat Festival yesterday in Dumaguete City.

The Dragons claimed the overall champion after dominating the mixed category with a time of 3:01.08. Kay Ganda paddlers settled for second with their 3:02.55, while Fire Blade wound up third in 3:04.03.

The Dragons also got a bronze medal in the open category which is ruled by the Bohol Paddlers.

The victory gave Dragons an added confidence going into a much tougher assignment next month in the Paddle Surge event in Tacloban City.
