Open division of Gullas Cup fires off tonight
CEBU, Philippines — The open/commercial division of the Mayor Eddie Gullas Cup 2017 basketball tournament gets underway today with a double-header on tap at the Talisay City Sports Complex.
After two games under the seniors division of the inter-barangay league, the star-studded ARQ/SG Builders will take on ASPA Scaffolding at 8:30 pm.
ARQ and ASPA are under Bracket B together with Kimlex and Shereen, while San Remigio Properties, Fighter Wine Fighter Fifty, and Christwil/EGS Asia make up Bracket A.
They will play in a single round robin format, with the top two qualifiers advancing into the crossover semifinals. The winners will fight it out for the championship in a winner-take-all affair on September 30.
The champion will pocket P80,000 while the second to fourth placers will receive P50,000, P30,000 and P20,000, respectively. — EBV (FREEMAN)
