Lee, Andrin top R399 race
CEBU, Philippines - Prince Joey Lee and Cherry Andrin dominated their respective divisions in the R399: Live Your Dream race yesterday at the Pescadores road in Cebu Business Park.
This running event pays tribute to Dr. Ramon Igaña Jr., who succumbed to acute pulmonary embolism during the bike leg of the Cobra IronMan 70.3 Philippines here in Cebu in 2012. His bib number was R399.
Lee finished the race in 41 minutes and 23 seconds to rule the 12K men’s class. Joseph Emia settled for second with 41:32, clocking followed by Paul James Zafico (42:46).
In the distaff side, Andrin crossed the finish line first in 51:28. Jen Eda Arcuino trailed with her time of 51:36, while Rue Panibon wound up third in 56:29.
Ruel Algufera topped the 6K men’s with a time of 22:04 as Ji Boy Magbulogtong (22:15) and Fritzlie Magbulogtong (22:18) occupied the next two spots.
The top three finishers in the 6K womens were Moira Erediano (27:00), Leah Tamopus (28:48) and Leonora Villamor (31:04). (FREEMAN)
