From left, UC high school basketball coach Jover "Brad' Samonte and his players Virlou Orquez and John Bryl Cuyos will take part in the "2017 Stephen Curry Asia Tour Powered by Under Armour" scheduled tomorrow in Seoul, South Korea.

CEBU, Philippines - Two high school varsity from the University of Cebu Junior Webmasters and their coach will get to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of rubbing elbows with one of the world's greatest basketball players today.

And as they board a plane early dawn today for their first trip abroad, John Bryl Cuyos and Virlou Orquez and their coach Jover 'Brad' Samonte have an extraordinary purpose and that they are looking forward to meeting Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry with an ultra-high level of excitement they themselves couldn't calibrate in their senses.

As part of UC's reward for winning the Under Armour 3×3 U18 basketball national tournament last April in Taguig City, Under Armour Philippines is bringing in Cuyos, Orquez and Samonte to Seoul to take part in the South Korea leg of the “2017 Stephen Curry Asia Tour Powered by Under Armour” scheduled tomorrow.

"We're very happy and thankful to Under Armour Philippines for this chance of a lifetime. The feeling that you will get to see in flesh an iconic figure in the NBA is unexplainable," said Samonte of Curry, who recently helped the Warriors clinth their second NBA title in three years.

Surely it will be a double treat for the UC trio as the two-time NBA MVP known for his prolific long-range shooting will be accompanied by his brother Seth Curry, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks, in his first visit to Korea.

During his three-day corporate sojourn in Seoul, Curry will unveil an additional exclusive colorway of the CURRY 3ZER0.

The first ever player to bag the MVP award in a unanimous vote after guiding the Warriors to a breakthrough 73 wins in the 2015-16 NBA season will also participate in a consumer activation event and host a private meet and greet with fans at the Under Armour Gangnam Brand House.

Aside from Seoul, the Golden State talisman who agreed to a record five-year, $201 million contract with the defending NBA champions just weeks ago will also have stops in Beijing, Chengdu and Hangzhou in China.

"I can't wait for this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. To be able to meet Curry in person means a lot for us. Hopefully it would be a worthwhile and meaningful trip for us," said Samonte. (FREEMAN)
