Cabusas shines in BTA monthly

CEBU, Philippines - Xyrra Cabusas gave herself a timely birthday present after ruling the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA)-Prima Monthly Open Tournament over the weekend at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

Cabusas, who turned 22 last Saturday, swept 1,227 pinfalls to dominate the six-game monthly finals. She posted her biggest output in the first two games with an aggregate score of 421.

Wilbert Yu finished second with 1,201 pins followed by Dory Enoveso with 1,198. Completing the top five list were Clarence Tiu (1,194) and Boy Co (1,177).

MotorAce booters keep hot steak

Team MotorAce blanked the hapless Bison squad, 5-0, to stretch its winning streak to three in the San Roque Football Summer League at the San Roque Parish field in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

 MotorAce opened its bid with a 5-1 drubbing of Nawanao and followed it up with a 1-0 triumph over San Miguel FC.

In the other games, the Apos of Lola Arit also rolled to their third straight victory after outsmarting San Roque Rehab, 1-0, while Team bounced back with a 4-2 betating of San Miguel FC. (FREEMAN)
