Casili, Polog roll to second win in Consolacion caging
CEBU, Philippines - Defending champions Casili and Polog coasted to their second straight wins in the 6th Mayor Teresa P. Alegado Fiesta Basketball League last Friday night in Consolacion, Cebu.
In the SK juniors category A, Dwight Gonzaga had 12 points, while John Comiso and Cyril Sabella connived for 21 points as Casili escaped past Pulpogan, 72-70.
In the inter-barangay seniors category B, Anthony Tura fired 18 points to lift Polog to a 65-64 cliffhanger over Sacsac.
Casili and Polog thus need only one more win to top their respective brackets that will earn them twice-to-beat incentives in the crossover semifinals.
In the inter-barangay category A, brothers Rexon and Russell Moneva conspired for 46 points to catapult Pulpogan to a thrilling 88-86 victory over Casili, while Randy Colonia sizzled with 19 points as Cansaga beat Danglag by the slimmest of margins, 79-78. (FREEMAN)
