EVERY POUND COUNTS - The Freeman

With just less than a week to go, we will be in our first BER months of the year. And it means that it is time to tighten your belt and be reminded of your goals. Nine months have passed and how far have you gone through with your New Year’s resolution?

Either to live a healthier lifestyle or whatever goals you have set for 2016, it is never too late to start now. Stop making excuses and just do it now. Pick up those running shoes and go for a walk, stop eating those junk foods, sweets and unhealthy oily foods. Settle for natural choices like freshly squeezed juice, munch an apple instead of gobbling a pack of potato chips. And for those who have been sweating it out and still not losing a single pound, always remember that losing weight is 70 percent nutrition and 30 percent exercise. So even if you workout 3 to 4 hours a day and don’t control your food intake, then it will all be useless. Eat in moderation and choose wisely. Do not deprive yourself though as it is also vital to reward yourself may be at least once a week.

I am reminding you all of this health stuff because that the second season of the biggest fitness boot camp in Cebu starts on August 30, Tuesday, at Robinsons Galleria Cebu. Be ready to get fitter, stronger and healthier. Workout has not been this fun with Metafit. Get stronger with flipping small, medium, large and the giant humongous tires! Think strong and be stronger! Get faster with our agility training with coach Dandy and Mholly, get lean and mean with our elastic resistance training. If you just simply want to burn those unwanted fat, take the patented Coach Jim Saret’s 4-minute workout. You can develop strong core and flexibility with our Metafit Yoga with Coach Glenna. We have our Metafit Groove power workout with Coach Belle. Dance with a groove, twist and move with a full range of motion to raise that heart rate and awaken those sleeping muscles. And for the hardcore athletes, get to sweat it out with our very  own Metafit Tri Team, who just saw action and completed the grueling Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championships recently. Get inspired and motivated with our fitness coaches. We also have the battle ropes, suspension training system, pull up bars and Duncan balls among others. Get nutritional tips from yours truly, learn how to eat to lose weight. Just remember to ask me during our boot camp.

For this second season, we are going for extra mile. One may join our annual Metafit Fearless Challenge happening in October. There will also be a Metafit trail mountain run and more surprises. Venue to be announced. The Metafit program is designed by Coach Jim Saret from the Philippine Olympic Committee.

Aside from the Coach A Metafit Boot Camp, Robinsons Galleria is also offering zumba. You can sweat it out every Monday and Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. For graceful and elegant dancing, there will be cha-cha, foxtrot, swing, tango and more in the dancesport showcase every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Robinsons Galleria is the newest fitness hub in Cebu with ample and safe parking area you can surely have a stress free day while your family shops, dine or watch movie. And guess what, you can also catch your favorite Pokemon Go in the mall!

Starting this September, you need focus back to what you have set for 2016. Take this challenge and get back into fitness. Fitness is a lifetime commitment. As the old adage goes, health is wealth. Nothing is free as getting fit cost a lot, but it is nothing compared when you get sick. Thus, I enjoined everyone to make it a SeptemBER to remember!
