CEPCA monthly tourney this pm

CEBU, Philippines - The July edition of the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association  monthly tournament will take place today at the second level of Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

 Aside from cash prizes, the participants will also vie for slots to the year-ending grand finals that is traditionally held in conjunction with CEPCA's annual Christmas get-together and induction of new members.

Those who advanced already to the so-called "Battle of Champions"  are National Master Rogelio Enriquez, Amado Olea, Jojoy Muralla, Peterson Sia, Rosendo Yamyamin, and Carlo Maraat in group A.

The ealy qualifiers in group B are Bong San Pascual, Romy Pialan, Ruel Hortelano, incumbent CEPCA President Engr. Jerry Maratas, Percival Fiel and Mario Bustillo. (FREEMAN)
