Cebu bets all set for DSCPI mid-year ranking and competition

CEBU, Philippines - The members of Dancesport-Team Cebu City have stepped up their training in preparation for the DanceSport Council of the Philippines, Inc. (DSCPI) Mid-Year Ranking and Competition at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on July 23.

DTCC will be fielding in around 30 couples for the second stage of the three-leg national series.

Leading the cast of Cebu bets are Pearl Caneda and Wilbert Aunzo, who are aiming to regain their slot in the Philippine team.

Aunzo and Caneda lost their spot in the national squad after a so-so performance in the national series last year.

Determined to get back in the elite squad, Aunzo and Caneda placed second in the premiere class during the First Quarterly Ranking and Competition.

Meanwhile, the new crop of dance athletes continue to showcase their wares through the inter-barangay event. The seventh and final leg will be held in Tisa this Saturday. (FREEMAN)
