CEBU, Philippines - It's green and go for Sunsport's first ever "Heavy Training Ball-Advanced Skills Program" this Monday at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club just beside the Sacred Heart Church along D. Jakosalem Street, Cebu City.

Open to aspiring hoopsters as well as varsity players aged 15 years old and above, the five-day camp will be spearheaded by US-based Cebuano NBA trainer/coach Jeff Codera and Sunsport's longtime training director Jojo Romarate.

Training schedule is from 9 a.m. to 12nn daily until June 3.

Codera, a member of the reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors' training camp and licensed coach of USA Basketball under its Youth Development Program, said using a weighted training basketball has lots of benefits.

Chief among them is that it improves strength that will help players become stronger at shooting, passing, rebounding and dribbling the basketball.

Also, it helps players improve their overall arm, wrist and finger strength, extend their shooting shooting range, and develop inside moves and rebounding skills.

To ensure quality training, only 50 slots are available. Registration fee is pegged at P2,000 inclusive of a training jersey and Sunsport heavy training ball.
