CEBU, Philippines - Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) booters raked seven titles plus nine runner-up trophies in the 5th BRO Football Festival at the DBTC field in Barangay Punta Princesa, this city.

DBTC got into the finals in most all categories except from the men and women’s open.

After losing in their finals match for the under-7 title against Giuseppe FC, 0-1, the Bosconians immediately bounced back with a convincing 2-0 victory over Dipolog Football Academy for the under-13 trophy.

DBTC-A also won the under-16 class against SURE FC, 1-0, as DBTC-C took home the under-9 title with a 5-1 thrashing of DBTC-B.  Don Bosco also snared the executive 38-above title.

The Bosconians scored a double championship via the under 11 and 12 divisions, but missed the under-10 title after a heart-breaking 1-2 loss against Dipolog FA.

Abellana National School made their presence felt after a 1-0 win against DBTC in the boys 18. The Bosconians also settled for second place in both the 14 and 15 classes after falling to Phoenix FC and Warshockz, respectively.

Don Bosco ended their bid with a runner-up trophy in the executive 45 after bowing to Cebu Amateur Football Club, 1-0.

In the men’s open, University of Cebu-Nigerians Shooting Stars reigned supreme with a lopsided 3-1 victory over Aegis FC, while ERCO-A outsmarted it’s team B, 3-2 to snatch the ladies open crown.

St.Theresa's College got a double victory through the girls' 15 and 18.

The Theresians silenced Phoenix-Warshocks, 2-0 for the 15-under, while their girls 18 squad outplayed San Roque FC, 2-1.—  (FREEMAN)
