Radaza lifts vaccination suspension
CEBU, Philippines — Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza has lifted the suspension of vaccination in Barangay Pajac after she received a letter from the Department of Health-7 indicating that it is safe to continue the immunization in the barangay.
The immunization was suspended when two of the babies who availed of the pentavalent vaccine died allegedly because of the vaccine.
But Radaza said that the health office of the city will closely monitor the immunization activity of the barangay health center.
The mother of one of the babies who died continues to mourn the loss of her daughter.
Ghir Vaughn Mcreign's mother, Gian Millicent Igoy, posted on her Facebook account that she misses her baby so much.
