2 men smuggling’ guns arrested by port police in Pier 1, Cebu City

CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Port Authority arrested two persons for illegal possession of firearms at Pier 1, Cebu City on Sunday evening.

CPA Security Division Manager Glenn Salador said that passenger Euligiano Bueno Camance Jr., 43, from Barangay Guinacot, Danao City was questioned when CPA personnel found 17 pieces of .45 caliber and four pieces of .38 caliber firearms in his possession last Sunday evening.

Camance was bound for Ozamis City.

Salador said that when he was questioned by CPA personnel, Camance called up Richel Vallejo Puno, 40, of Sitio Ilaya, Barangay Talamban, Cebu City.

Vallejo was just outside the pier and was also apprehended by port authorities.

"Ang duha karon kay naa sa CPA temporary detention cell waiting for charges to be filed against them," said Salador.

Salador said that charges of illegal possession of firearms may be filed against the two today. (FREEMAN)
