No bail for man who ‘sells’ drugs to studes
CEBU, Philippines — A man who allegedly sells shabu to night high school students of a public school in Cebu City is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Prosecutor Benison Harayo recommended the filing of charges against Argel Flores de la Peña, 33, of Elvira Qui Subd., Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City, for violation of Section 11, Article 2 of the anti-drugs law. There is no bail recommended.
In a joint-affidavit, SPO1 Noel Caretero and four others alleged that at about 10 p.m. on October 4 this year, they arrested de la Peña in his house after they received a report about his alleged illegal activities.
He allegedly sells drugs outside his residence and some of his customers were students of Punta Princesa Night High School.
On the night of the operation, the police saw de la Peña checking a medium plastic pack believed to contain methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as shabu.
When they were about to arrest him, de la Peña allegedly ran towards his house then to his room where he was arrested.
They seized about 8.23 grams of shabu. — /MGB (FREEMAN)
