Capitol aid request status goes online

Christell Fatima M. Tudtud - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - City and town officials from far-flung areas of Cebu province can now easily make a follow-up on their financial aid requests without going to the Capitol in Cebu City.

Cebu provincial government has created a website (http://infosys.cebu.gov.ph/LGUassistance) where the local government units can check the status of their financial aid hassle-free.

The new online system is aimed at increasing the province’s efficiency in providing updates on LGUs’ financial requests.

Also, it is seen to reduce, among others, the transportation expenses of LGUs.

To check updates, the town officials or personnel have to select the district and then enter the municipality and barangay where they belong to.

Once done, it will provide the status of the request and whether or not the aid is ready for release at the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.

The internet-based service was initiated by the Cebu Provincial Accounting Office in coordination with the Information and Communication Technology Office. (FREEMAN)
