While the students, Batao said, can give input to further improve the town's Barangay Nutrition Action Plan and share innovative and valuable strategies to help implement the plan.
Batao likewise thanked the National Nutrition Council Region (NNC)-7 and the administration of the Cebu Doctors’ University for choosing the Municipality of Carmen for the program.
In a statement, NNC-7 said that students made a Community Needs Assessment of their assigned barangays and proposed nutrition interventions including nutrition education activities, home garden projects, proper hygiene training, Masariwang Prutas at Gulay Program, Pagatas sa Kabataan Program, among others.
