4 “drug pushers” arrested in Talisay City, Liloan
CEBU, Philippines - Four alleged drug personalities, including two women, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Talisay City and Liloan town.
An alleged notorious drug pusher, 60-year-old Ronald Bazar, was arrested in an operation conducted by Talisay police in Sitio Tunga, Barangay Tanke, Thursday afternoon.
Talisay Chief of Police Superintendent Aileen Recla said they received information regarding the presence of Bazar in the area and immediately conducted an operation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7.
During the operation, the target transacted with the police poseur-buyer, which led to his immediate arrest.
Police recovered two medium packs of suspected shabu from Bazar with an estimated value of P15,800, and the marked money worth P200.
Recla said Bazar’s name has long been linked in the illegal drug trade in the area.
Meanwhile, in Liloan town, a buy-bust operation was conducted around 7:45 p.m. against Jessica Aniran, 43, and Evangeline Pido, 38, both residents of Barangay Yati.
Police Officer 2 Eric Bitoy said after their poseur-buyer completed the transaction with the two women, they were immediately placed under arrest.
The operatives were able to confiscate six small sachets of suspected shabu from both women weighing 0.3 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P3,540.
More than an hour after, the police force arrested Kevin Pilapil, 23, in another buy-bust operation at Purok Gemilina, Barangay Tayud, while his alleged cohort, Andrew Aguipo, evaded arrest.
Recovered from Pilapil were four pieces of small sachets believed to be shabu weighing 0.2 grams with Dangerous Drugs Board value of P2,360. (FREEMAN)
