Cops probe shooting in Cordova

CEBU, Philippines - The police are now looking for leads in the shooting of a 52-year-old man Thursday evening by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Alegria, Cordova town.

The victim, Juan Inoc, a resident of Sitio Kolo, Barangay Alegria, was on board a trisikad and was heading home when a man on board a motorcycle suddenly shot him five times, hitting him in the different parts of his body.

The shooter immediately left the area while the victim was rushed to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for immediate treatment.

 Senior Police Offi-cer 2 Laurencio Wagwag of Cordova Police Station said their station is still conducting an investigation to establish the real motive of the shooting and to identify the assailant.

  The Cordova police were able to recover four empty shells of a caliber 45 from the crime scene. (FREEMAN)
