Consolacion government worker shot dead
CEBU, Philippines - An employee of the General Services Office of Consolacion town was shot dead yesterday morning while he was on his way to work in Barangay Poblacion Occidental.
The victim was identified as Antonio Gutierrez Sr., 42, a resident of Polo, Consolacion.
Police Officer 1 Cresenciano Saladaga of Consolacion Police Station said the victim was driving his motorcycle when the back rider of another motorcycle shot him.
"Walay nakakita sa suspects kay naka-bonnet man then ang mga tawo didto nanagan," he said, adding the motorcycle that the suspects were on had no plate number.
He said the victim was a former traffic enforcer of Consolacion.
An investigation is being conducted by the police to determine the motive behind the crime and the identities of the suspects. (FREEMAN)
