Rep. Gullas to re-file LRT bill
CEBU, Philippines - Cebu first district Representative Gerald Anthony "Samsam" Gullas plans to re-file a bill seeking to implement the light rail transit (LRT) system in Metro Cebu.
In 2013, Gullas filed House Bill 1338 that aims to introduce the LRT system in the metro.
The bill was referred to the House Committee on Transportation based on the official website of the House of Representatives.
Gullas said once the 17th Congress opens on July 25, he will re-file the bill.
Aside from the LRT, Gullas said he is also planning to re-file seven other bills that were approved by the Lower House during the last Congress but were not tackled by the Senate.
“Even though its approval has been pending before the House Committee on Transportation, I think in this new Congress, it will do better because it’s one of President Digong’s initiatives,” Gullas said. (FREEMAN)
