Team Rama poll winners take oath
CEBU, Philippines - Elected Cebu City officials under Team Rama will take their oath of office this morning at the Rama Compound in Barangay Basak-San Nicolas.
The event will be led by Team Rama leader and outgoing Mayor Michael Rama. Other party members including those who lost in the May 9 elections are also expected to attend.
Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella disclosed that Adlaon barangay captain Nieves Narra, one of the longest serving barangay officials, will administer their oath.
Lawyer Jocelyn Pesquera, one of the councilors-elect under Team Rama, said a Mass will be held at 7:20 a.m. today, followed by the oathtaking ceremony at 8:30 a.m.
"We invited our leaders, barangay captains, ang Team Rama, mao ra among gipang-invite," she said.
Aside from Labella, Team Rama members who will take their oath today are councilors-elect James Cuenco, Raymond Garcia, Eduardo Rama, Jose Daluz III, Nendell Hanz Abella, Jerry Guardo, Dave Tumulak, Joel Garganera, Pastor Alcover and Pesquera.
"It's just a short program, diretso-diretso ra siya. The Mass will start at 7:30 then followed by the oathtaking proper, then that's it. Wala na'y gathering after," Pesquera added. (FREEMAN)
