Archival richest, Tumulak ‘poorest’

CEBU, Philippines - Twelve Cebu City officials have declared an increase in their net worth, four others showed a decrease, and three more registered stationary numbers in their Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) for 2015.

Except for three, the rest of the city officials declared millions.

Increase

Based on records, Councilor Nestor Archival remained the richest among all elected officials in the city.

From P20 million in 2014, Archival's worth is now P25.97 million. Under his net worth, Archival declared over P8.97 million real properties, savings and personal properties amounting to P13.5 million and accounts receivable amounting to P5 million for a total of P27 million in assets. He has only P1.5 payable under his liability.

Archival is followed by Councilor Mary Ann de los Santos whose numbers increased to P13.46 million in 2015 from P12.86 million in 2014. She declared P5.4 million under assets and P8 million under personal and other properties.

Following her is Councilor Nendell Hanz Abella who declared a net worth of P12.66 million in 2015 from P11.67 million in 2014. He is followed by Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella with P12.23 million in 2015 from P12 million in 2014.

Councilor Margarita Osmeña has P8.53 million in 2015 from P6.39 million of 2014 while Councilor Eugenio Gabuya has P7.027 million in 2015 from P7 million in 2014.

Councilor Richard Osmeña also tallied an increase with P5.21 million in 2015 from P2.25 million in 2014. He is followed by Councilor Lea Japson with P5.085 million in 2015 from P5 million in 2014.

Councilor Alvin Arcilla who registered P4.38 million in 2014 had a net worth of P4.71 million in 2015, Councilor Phillip Zafra declared P1.38 million in 2015 from P1.08 million in 2014, while Councilor Alvin Dizon reported an increase from P890,000 in 2014 to P945,000 in 2015.

Decrease

Mayor Michael Rama’s numbers fell from P4.69 million in 2014 to P4.4 million in 2015.

Rama reported P2 million in real property, P4.2 million in personal properties, and P250,000 in personal loan.

City Councilor James Anthony Cuenco has P12.04 million in 2015 compared to his 12.28 in 2014. Councilors Roberto Cabarrubias has P685,000 in 2015 compared to his P1.19 million in 2014, Councilors Nida Cabrera has P4.75 million in 2015, a decrease from his P4.8 million in 2014.

Councilor David Tumulak declared a decrease of his wealth from P390,000 in 2014 to P109,694 in 2015, the “poorest” among the officials.

Similar

Councilors Noel Eleuterio Wenceslao, Sisinio Andales, and Gerardo Carillo declared the same numbers in 2015 at P3.15 million, P8.12 million, P9.7 million, respectively. – (FREEMAN)
