Man shot dead in Talisay
CEBU, Philippines - A 24-year-old man was shot to death while playing a coin game at 4 a.m. yesterday in Barangay Lagtang, Talisay City.
Talisay City Police identified the victim as Gineses Badano of Barangay Mag-haway of the same city.
Badano’s friend Angelito Nechedo told police investigators that they were playing a coin game locally known as hantak in Barangay Lagtang, which was celebrating its annual fiesta yesterday, when he heard a burst of gunfire.
Seconds later, Nechedo saw Badano lying on the ground with his face covered in blood.
Responders rushed the victim to the Talisay City District Hospital, but he has succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound on his head.
The police found a cal. 38 revolver with three live rounds and two empty shells from the crime scene.
