CEBU, Philippines - Cebu City police arrested two alleged drug pushers in barangay Pung-ol Sibugay prior to the Holy Week break and confiscated several packs of shabu which they believe were to be delivered to Barangay Pulangbato.

Rolando Migabon, 34, and Lito Lopez, 38, were arrested by operatives of City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group in separate buy bust operations on Wednesday.

CAIDSOTG chief, Senior Inspector Eunil Avegonzado, believes that the illegal drugs were supposed to be delivered to barangay Pulangbato, wherein a number of illegal drug operations have been monitored by the police.

“Adto ni dad-on sa Pulangbato para sa Holy Week, maygani kay nakuha nato”, he said.

Migabon was under surveillance for two weeks, said the CAIDSOT chief.

“Kung wa pa nato ni madakpi ang subject, daghan jud nga pushers ning makagamit atong drugaha”, he said.

In the buy-bust operation, police officers recovered a small pack of shabu from Migabon in exchange of a P200 bill.

Police further recovered from him a big pack of suspected shabu and nine small packs estimated to have a street value of P50,000.

Lopez had with him four packs of shabu. (FREEMAN)
