All That Glitters 2017 Holiday Collection

All That Glitters (ATG) launched its 2017 holiday line last November at the 32 Sanson Sales Lounge. Cousins Amanda Luym, creative head, and Cacay Moras-Server, chief finance officer, introduced a total of 11 collections during the two-day affair.

For the season, the featured design elements were inspired by the 20th mid-century and modernism. Luym’s vision was to create a jewelry line that would pair well with experimental pieces by famous designers who explored the possibilities of shape and patterns that departed from previous norms of established fashion codes. “I was looking at a lot of movements like German Bauhaus and Brutalist architecture, alongside the couture of the era, like Balenciaga, Givenchy, and Pierre Cardin,” she explained.

Among all the collections, Themyscira was the bestseller, having sold out all pieces the fastest. The pieces comprised of sapphire gems that came in assorted hues, eccentric cuts, and 925 sterling silver dipped in 24K yellow gold. The collection stemmed from Luym’s emotional connection with the designs. “I think this is why the colors are more saturated and the shapes are more dramatic,” she said. New design elements have been incorporated with the collection, creating a wider visual lexicon for the designer to draw from as ATG’s line evolves.

The two-day showcase ended with an almost sold-out display and a crowd of satisfied customers wearing lavish ATG jewelry pieces leaving the lounge. According to Server, both loyal clientele and a lot of new faces visited to purchase from the holiday collection. “We’re really happy because we were able to catch up with loyal customers and make new friends with first-time buyers. This season’s showcase was indeed a success,” she said. With all the good feedback and increasing demand from Cebuano customers, ATG is expecting to release its next line by the first quarter of 2018 in the city.
