CEBU, Philippines — Friends and loved ones gathered on the night of House Deputy Speaker Gwendolyn Pilar Garcia’s 62nd birthday celebration, on October 12, at the Grand Convention Center in Cebu City. Everyone wished her more happiness, good health and peace of mind.

On the occasion, Cebu Fourth District Representative Benhur Salimbangon shared that the House of Representatives has commended Gwen for her exemplary performance and for being a tireless legislator who is always inspired to work. However, Salimbangon hinted, the people of Cebu Province needed her more and that she should consider ‘coming home’ back to the province.

Salimbangon’s insinuation was met with a thunderous applause from everyone around.
